Selection for introducing the pegboard puzzles :

• Few things should be kept in mind while introducing pegboard puzzles.
• Size: When you are first introducing the pegboard puzzles to the child, size should be large so that it is easier for the child to visualize, grasp and connect with them.
• Base Image: Two types of pegboard puzzles are available in the market: with and without a base image. When you introduce the peg puzzles for the very first time, the puzzles with the base image can be used so that it is easier for the child to do the matching and placing the pegs in the correct slot. This will help in creating interest in the child.
• Later, you can introduce the puzzles without the base image. The puzzles without the base image are preferred by me as it helps in developing memory, logical skills and reasoning of the child.
