Valentine’s day Sensory Hearts
For making sensory hearts you need cardboard pieces cut in a heart shape, adhesive, and loose parts like pom-poms, bottle caps, and pasta available at home. We used everything red to get into the valentine’s vibe! It is an easy, fun, and hands-on activity that helps in developing sensory and fine motor skills.
Clothespin Heart Matching for Preschoolers
Clothespins are an excellent tool to develop pincer grip and fine motor skills. We used foam heart stickers and clothespins to create a quick matching activity. Paste one set of heart stickers on a thick paper piece, and glue the matching set of heart stickers on clothespins. Now, give these heart clothespins to kids for matching activities!
If stickers are not available at home, you can simply paint them on card stock in duplicate and create this heart-matching activity.
Heart Lacing activity for Preschoolers
Lacing activities are a great way for kids to work on fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. To get started, cut out heart-shaped cardboard and punch small holes along the edges of the heart shape. Once the holes are punched, provide laces of different colors for your child to lace through the holes in whichever pattern they choose. This is a great activity for kids of all ages and helps to develop their fine motor skills.
Sticker Activities
Who doesn’t love stickers? We used foam heart stickers for pattern matching and finding the odd one-out activity. Sticker matching activity involved matching two stickers with the same heart pattern. The odd-one-out activity involved selecting the sticker that does not match the other hearts in color, pattern, or size. Setting up these Valentine sticker activities shall take only 2 minutes and are super fun for kids. These activities also help the kids learn and develop problem-solving skills.

For the older kids, let them cut out small paper pieces and arrange and glue them in a design in the heart shape. For younger kids, give the small cut paper pieces, and guide them to paste on the heart template. This heart-shaped paper collage is a fun activity for kids of all ages. You can hang it on the wall or display it in a frame for everyone to admire! Have fun creating your unique collage!

Dot stickers are our all-time favorites! We used dot stickers to trace a heart shape for pre-writing practice. Placing the dot stickers along the outline of the heart shape helps kids learn how to draw the heart shape. This dot sticker activity is great for developing a pincer grip as well.
Finger painted Heart
It is a no-prep art activity that is great for toddlers to explore their creativity and have fun! All you need is kids’ safe finger paints and a paper sheet. Help your toddler to dip their fingers in the paint and use their fingers to stamp them inside the heart shape on the paper.
